access to TMAG is through the main entrance at 40 Macquarie Street or via the Museum courtyard off Dunn Place

bags other than hand bags are not permitted in the galleries

cloaking facilities are available off the entry foyer for a refundable fee of $2

lift access is available to the galleries

wheelchairs are available from the information desk (bookings are advised, (03) 62114134)

guide dogs are welcome in the gallery spaces and to all events

photography, video, smoking, food and drink are not permitted in the galleries and we ask patrons with mobile phones to be thoughtful of other visitors.

the collections belong to the community, for the enjoyment of current and future generations. As the custodians we ask for your cooperation. Please observe the conditions of entry to the galleries and directions of gallery staff and you will be helping us to preserve the collections for all to enjoy.

The Museum Shop
The shop has been relocated into a newly renovated gallery space, the Royal Society Gallery. Pick up a map from Front of House or ask one of our helpful gallery staff for directions.
