Opening Hours

TMAG is open from 10am-5pm daily (Except Anzac Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day).

Admission to the permanent collection is free. 

Admission prices may apply to special exhibitions. For more information about special exhibitions go to our What's On section

 

Visiting TMAG

  • Bags other than handbags are not permitted in the galleries
  • Cloaking facilities are available off the entry foyer for a refundable fee of $2
  • Lift access is available to the galleries
  • Wheelchairs are available from the information desk (bookings are advised, (03) 6211 4134)
  • Guide dogs are welcome in the gallery spaces to all events
  • Video, smoking, food and drink are not permitted in the galleries and we ask patrons with mobile phones to be thoughtful of other visitors
  • Photography is not permitted in the art and decorative arts galleries and the Ningenneh Tunapry exhibition

 

The collections belong to the community for the enjoyment of current and future generations.  As the custodians we ask for your cooperation. 

Please observe the conditions of entry to the galleries and directions of gallery staff and you will be helping us to preserve the collections for all to enjoy.
