Image Reproduction Requests

Providing digital files for reproduction and laser prints for research.
TMAG endeavours to process image and copyright requests within 2-4 weeks.  Larger orders may take longer to process, particularly if new photography is necessary.  The image reproduction service operates from 2pm-5pm on Wednesday and 9am-5pm on Thursday and Friday.

TMAG encourages the reproduction of works from its collections.  However, to ensure integrity of the reproduction is maintained, publishers are required to comply with certain terms and conditions.

To order publication quality digital files of TMAG collection items for publication purposes please complete and return (to the address or fax number below) the Publication Request Application form.

A colour proof must be supplied by you for checking and approval to ensure the integrity of the works from TMAG's collection is maintained and the moral rights of the artists are not infringed.  Please refer to the Fees and Charges section below for information on pre-payment and forms of payment accepted.

For Research and Study Purposes
If you wish to obtain black and white or colour laser prints of works from TMAG's collections for private research and study purposes complete and return (to the address or fax number below) the Application for black and white or colour laser print for the purpose of private research and study. 

A service fee of $15.00 plus $1.50 GST (Australia only) is charged for the supply of laser prints, postage, ink and handling.  Please refer to the Fees and Charges section below for information on pre-payment and acceptable forms of payment.

Fees and Charges
Fees for the supply of photographic material and the subsequent reproduction of these works must be supplied when ordering.

Orders from Australian clients will be subject to the Goods and Services Tax (GST).  International orders are exempt from GST.

A tax invoice will be issued upon receipt of the signed and completed application form, confirming your order.  Please allow at least 2-4 weeks for the processing of orders.  Large orders may take longer to process, particularly if new photography is necessary.

Copyright
TMAG holds copyright for some material held in the collections, however, where copyright is held other than by TMAG, if the information is available to use we will endeavour to assist in providing these details.  A copy of the permission must be received in print format (facsimile is acceptable) before the order is processed.

It is the responsibility of the applicant seeking permission to reproduce to obtain copyright clearance and any other requirements placed on an item prior to reproduction.  Copyright fees may apply outside material held with TMAG copyright and may incur additional fees to any other fees charged by TMAG.

Moral Rights
Reproduction of works from TMAG's collections must be correctly and adequately acknowledged with captions provided by TMAG.  Works must be reproduced appropriately and with due consideration for the artist's honour and reputation.  A failure to comply with these conditions may constitute an infringement of a copyright holder's moral rights.  Further information regarding Australia' Moral Rights Legislation can be found at scaleplus.law.gov.au.
