Outreach
Contemporary art education hits the road in AccessArt’s fantastic, free outreach program, which delivers professional development for staff as well as practical art workshops for students or clients within schools and community organisations all around the state. This is an initiative for those communities that face challenges in accessing TMAG in Hobart, for a range of reasons. Outreach programs are developed in consultation and require a minimum of two months lead time.
To be eligible for an AccessArt outreach program, a school or organisation should meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Faces genuine hurdles to visiting TMAG- Does not currently employ an arts specialist
- Staff cannot readily access professional development in visual art
- Is located in an area of socio-economic disadvantage
Workshops can be tailored to the needs of participants.
