Literacy Through Art: for EAL students
This specialised program uses the TMAG collection as stimulus for developing literacy in a relaxed and inspiring environment. Involves hands-on art making, discussion, writing and reading. Offered as vocabulary-focused sessions to complement and reinforce key content areas studied in English as an Additional Language (EAL) courses. Ideal for beginners, or as refresher sessions for intermediate students.

Session topics: Faces, The Body, Animals, Food.

Duration: 1.5 hours
Suitable for: EAL students, TasTAFE and Tertiary
Dates: all year

Welcome Talk
If you are visiting a temporary exhibition at TMAG, this program provides a short introduction to inform personal interpretations during free exploration afterwards. Our Educator meets your group in the gallery to help focus eyes and minds.
