TASMANIAN MUSEUM & ART GALLERY PODCAST

The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) is proud to offer Podcast subscription of select exhibitions and tours.

A podcast is a way of automatically downloading audio and or video files to your computer. This allows you to listen at a time and place that suits you. For example, you can listen to the audio and watch video on your computer or transfer them to an portable music player. You can then bring your player into the TMAG to listen to the podcast during your visit.

National Treasures from Australia's Great Libraries

This exhibition is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see more than 170 treasures on show at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. The objects are from libraries across Australia and include Ned Kelly’s helmet, Captain Cook’s Endeavour journal and Donald Bradman’s bat.

This podcast offers a taste of some of the treasures on offer, and follows the eight themes of the exhibition.

It features commentary by Margaret Dent, Co-Curator, National Library of Australia, Nat Williams, Director of Exhibitions at the National Library of Australia and Tony Marshall, Senior Librarian Heritage Collections, from the State Library of Tasmania

National Treasures from Australia’s Great Libraries is on display at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery until the 23rd of July 2006.
