| Description | Over 90 per cent of the specimens in TMAG's vertebrate collection are prepared as scientific research specimens rather than traditional taxidermy as seen in the display galleries. TMAG's zoology curator will discuss the different preparation techniques used for display and research specimens, and will also explain why specimen based research using the TMAG research collection is fundamental to understanding animal systematics and ecology. |
