The Art team at TMAG looks after all art items in the State Collections.

This includes everything from design, furniture, and antiques to both historical and contemporary art from Australia and around the world.

Their work includes:

• Researching and preserving artworks
• Collecting new pieces
• Curating exhibitions in TMAG’s galleries
• Collaborating on public art projects and commissions
• Running programs that connect art with the community

The team is dedicated to sharing Tasmania’s rich artistic heritage and supporting new creative voices.
