Accessibility

Everyone is welcome at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Below you'll find information to help you plan your visit.  If you have suggestions on how we can make TMAG even more accessible, we'd love to hear from you - please email feedback to: tmagmail@tmag.tas.gov.au

  • There is level access to all public areas of our site.
  • Ramp access is available from the courtyard and the Macquarie Street entrance.
  • Elevators are provided for movement between levels - for safety, they should be reversed into when entering.
  • Loan wheelchairs are available from the Visitor Information Desk. We recommend booking in advance by calling (03) 6165 7000.
  • Guide dogs and trained service animals are welcome in all gallery spaces and at all TMAG events.
  • Accessible bathrooms and parent rooms are located near reception, at the café, and on Level Two of the main museum.
