TMAG Young Peoples Reference Panel

Each year, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) invites young Tasmanian’s aged 7-17 to apply to join the Young People’s Reference Panel.

The program aims to engage and empower young voices and help TMAG reflects what matters most to young people today.

Members share ideas and contribute to shaping exhibitions, programs, and resources at TMAG.

• What’s involved? Four meetings a year in Hobart, plus opportunities to collaborate on projects and initiatives.
• Why join? It’s fun! And makes a real difference.

The panel includes around 20 members, appointed annually through a formal application process, along with TMAG representatives. Sub-groups may form to focus on specific topics or age-related issues.
