To coincide with the exhibition Exposed Lands: 100 Years of Tasmanian Landscape Photography, join TMAG Senior Curator of Fine Art, Dr Mary Knights, on Saturday 25 July for a free in-conversation event with photographic artist David Stephenson, and hear fascinating insights into David’s art practice and process.
David Stephenson is an American-born photographic and video artist who has lived in Lutruwita/Tasmania since 1982. He is a significant photographer with a national and international reputation for his highly formal studies of landscape and the sublime. David has maintained an active national and international exhibition profile since 1978, and his works are held in important collections in Australia and overseas. Some of David's artworks from the TMAG collection feature in the Exposed Lands exhibition, which runs until 18 October 2026.
