Case Study: TasNetworks

TasNetworks is the Tasmanian state-owned corporation that supplies power from the generation source to homes and businesses through a network of transmission towers, substations and powerlines. Newly formed in 2014, TasNetworks is one of the few businesses that operates in every corner of the state and directly impacts on the quality of life of the entire population of Tasmania on a daily basis.

TasNetworks is proud of its new relationship with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) as a Major Sponsor of the family exhibition Pattern Play. Creating partnerships with like-minded, community connected organisations that deliver benefits at a local level is a central part of TasNetworks and TMAG's shared vision. TMAG is especially pleased to have TasNetworks support this particular exhibition, which focuses on the younger generation and the creation of a better tomorrow.

The Pattern Play partnership has also delivered direct benefit to the families of TasNetworks employees and their regional communities. Creative partnership programming has encompassed a Family Day for TasNetworks employees and their families, along with an innovative remote and regional education program in the North and North-West of Tasmania.

This outreach program utilises live virtual tours and educational resources for inspiring learning in the mathematics, science and art curriculum areas, all around the common language of patterns.

Through its partnership with TMAG, TasNetworks has shown its commitment to the broad development of our community, bringing together arts, culture and the environment for the next generation of Tasmanians across the state.
